Nancy understands the courage it takes to seek support when troubled by personal circumstances. A professional connection can empower an individual to approach life with a fresh perspective, as well as create a sense of peace through newfound resolution. While life is messy and full of challenges, Nancy strives to help clients get through each and every one of them. She provides a safe, accepting, and confidential environment to anyone desiring improved emotional and mental health.

Utilizing person-centered and solution-focused theories, Nancy assists adults, children and adolescents in the areas of depression and anxiety, divorce and parenting, low self-esteem, relationship dynamics, family of origin issues, and life transitions. 

From her training at Children's Home Society, she is skilled in Beyond Consequences techniques for children with trauma and attachment disorders. Nancy is knowledgeable in community recovery resources for individuals and families suffering from addiction, and she employs treatment strategies that focus on problem solving skills and creative thinking to help build resiliency in clients. She is in the process of achieving her LPC-MH licensure in South Dakota.

Offering day, evening, and Saturday appointments, Nancy accepts a variety of insurance plans in addition to private payment by cash, check or credit card. Her office is located in a comfortable and rustic setting at The Barn on Sycamore in southeast Sioux Falls.

New this summer 2017, Nancy will be leading therapeutic workshops for young women entering the 7th and 8th grades. In small groups of 8, girls will work to better understand themselves, and grow beyond themselves through creative expression and safe discussion.
